Conservation Celebration

Join us August 27, 2022, 4:00 - 8:00 pm
at Falling Creek Camp 

Celebrate the accomplishments of Conserving Carolina, socialize with new and old friends, and support new conservation initiatives at the 2022 Conservation Celebration. Tickets are $125 per person and individual sponsorships are available.

Thank you for your interest in purchasing tickets to our Aug. 27 Conservation Celebration. Ticket sales have been overwhelming, and at present, we are at full capacity.  However, we will hopefully be releasing additional tickets as soon as outstanding RSVPs for paid sponsorships are confirmed. Please click on the ‘waitlist’ button below to be added to the waiting list.  We will let you know no later than Aug. 17 whether or not tickets are available for you.  You will hear from us either way.  Thank you for your patience and your interest in joining us.  We do hope to see you on August 27.

Online Auction 

The auction will be held online from Aug. 21 to Aug. 28. No auction items will be available at the Aug. 27 event. Please see the 'Auction' page on the menu at the top of this website for more details. 

Pre-Event Guided Hike

Ticket holders are invited to join a 1-hour hike at Falling Creek Camp, led by camp owner, Yates Pharr and Conservation Easement Manager, Torry Nergart. The hike will begin at 3:15 pm on Aug. 27, and participants must register in advance. Details about the hike and how to register for the hike will be shared with ticket holders at least one week before the event.

Live Music by Zoe and Cloyd with Bennette Sullivan

Hailing from opposite ends of the Appalachian mountains, Zoe & Cloyd is renowned fiddler and vocalist Natalya Zoe Weinstein and award-winning songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist John Cloyd Miller. Zoe & Cloyd will be joined by local composer and musician, Bennett Sullivan, on banjo/guitar. Performing their unique blend of original bluegrass, old-time and klezmer music with evocative songwriting and soaring vocal harmonies, they are sure to delight audiences of all ages. Natalya and John are also avid hikers, wildflower aficionados, and members of Conserving Carolina.

Falling Creek Camp is a Christian boys camp located in Tuxedo, NC. Part of Falling Creek Camp’s mission is to help boys understand their relationship with nature. Camp is the perfect place to be surrounded by nature - and discover the wonders. It is also a place for boys to learn how to be good stewards of the earth and the environment.Falling Creek has worked to permanently protect over 150 acres of forest land from being developed by using conservation easements.
